Runner's World Magazine winner for best update fall 07' ,The New Balance 1223.
"The 1223 comes with better cushioning than its predecessor, thanks to a soft layer of foam over the midsole and a section of durable foam in the heel. Our tests showed the 1223 is lighter and more flexible than the 1222, so we've moved it from motion-control to the stability category. Make no mistake, though, the 1223 still has plenty of support. We recommend this shoe for average to bigger runners with low arches looking for a good combination of support and cushioning."
